OVERCOMING FITNESS CHALLENGES AS A PARENT

Don't Let Being A Parent Stop You From Being Your Best

When you're a parent who enjoys exercising and do not have any help with getting to the gym or finding a sitter when the gym you go to doesn't have childcare, it's a challenge. This can have a significant impact on your mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. You put all of your wants on hold when you decide to become a parent. Your life, in fact, is no longer your own. To be able to withstand the test of time, I feel that having and maintaining a healthy lifestyle involves a well-balanced existence of being physically and spiritually productive.

It can be difficult to motivate yourself to go to the gym. Trying to stick to a plan and be consistent in your efforts to stay active as a parent may become the last thing on your mind. Being a parent, especially if you're a single parent, can make leading a healthier lifestyle seem like a dream or a  crazy idea. How do you overcome something that appears to be so impossible? As a personal trainer and a single mother, I've had to recognize the reality that I have to get creative in order to stay fit while also not losing my mind or hope. I was on the search for a place where I could bring my child so that I could train or workout, but that proved to be a hurdle in and of itself. As a result, I decided to develop my own solution for myself and for other parents who want to get in shape, eat well, and still be close to their children while working out.

FITNESS ON THE GO OR STAY AT HOME

Covid-19 changed the game for everyone. There was a time when everyone had daycare at the gym and dropping off your child was no problem; but, due to Covid, many gyms have decided not to reopen their child care. This is a source of stress for many parents, so instead of building another app where you have to research your questions to find answers for working out and eating, why not have a personal trainer at your fingertips? I made myself available to parents so that they could plan their workouts, get in shape, and eat well. Working out shouldn't be something you have to figure out on your own. It should be something you enjoy doing without feeling obligated to sacrifice your livelihood as a parent. You and your children should be able to live your best lives without having to compromise your health because you can't get to the gym or find childcare. Parents need to be fit and healthy as well! Having access to me through online workouts has made it easier for parents to achieve a well-balanced lifestyle. Fitness is valuable to everyone, not just for the single. It is also beneficial to parents who want to live longer and  see their children grow up healthy and happy.
