TALKING TO THE LORD OF YOUR LIFE
No matter what is happening in your life right now, I want you to know that you are amazing and that you are fearfully and wonderfully made. Psalm 139:14. You have a purpose in God's plan, so for today's devotional Take a seat, remain still, and enjoy some downtime with your heavenly Father. Consider the frequency of the things God is calling you to accomplish, what He wants you to do, and how He is guiding you to do them. Being in constant communication with the Father is necessary for intimacy with Him. Consider how you would like to communicate with the person you are dating, your spouse, or even your children. You would never shortchange them when they ask for some alone time with you. The same is true of our heavenly Father, who is eager to hear from us.
In 1 Thessalonians 5:17, Paul advised us to pray without ceasing, or as I like to say, "talk to God continually." Make talking to God a natural part of your daily routine as you go about your day. Whatever it is that is currently on your mind, God wants you to express that same thought to Him. It can seem strange, but talking to your Father in heaven is like talking to your best friend who is waiting on the other end. Your Father is ready to empower you, strengthen you, and take care of whatever it is that is making your heart break or making you feel beat down, disappointed, nervous, worried, skeptical, or anything else. Allow the Lord to be your daily source of inspiration and discover the delight of just depending on Him.
If you are wondering why God would want to speak with you, it's because He loves you. I know this may be tough to imagine, or difficult it just may be difficult to talk to the Lord and believe that He is listening and is eager to communicate with you. You may even feel as though God has something against you and wonder, "Who am I that God would want to hear from me?" I can start by telling you right now it's because you are His child. He loves you so much, and as I mentioned yesterday, He gave you life today. Also, because you are a royal priesthood and the apple of His eye, He is waiting for you to just start talking. The enemy will try to convince us that we are like gum under the table. Therefore, any lies you have heard from the enemy, I suggest that you make them known to your Father in Heaven so that He can handle them.
Challenge Yourself
I love challenging you and giving you these motivating things to accomplish so that you can grow closer to your Father, and get to know Him better. Let us rejoice with the heavens as we continue on this fasting and fitness journey to improve our health and develop a deeper connection to our Lord. This week, if you don't already have one, go to the store and purchase a notebook or a journal. Each day, begin a discussion with the Lord in your journal. As if you were writing a love letter to a secret admirer.
Tell the Lord everything you are thinking, feeling, and concerned about. Additionally, you can use the voice recorder on your phone to communicate with God. When you think about it and understand how successful and empowering your close relationship with the Lord your Father has grown, it may be very exciting. Therefore, don't wait any longer; talk to your Father immediately; He is eagerly awaiting to hear from you! Let's continue to build and thrive in making our lives contiguous to living in love through the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
3 Scriptures To Mediate On And Questions To Ask Yourself
1 Thessalonians 5:17
Psalm 139:14
Philippians 4:6-7
Let's reflect on these verses so that we can constantly be reminded of how crucial it is to communicate with the Father, spend time alone with Him, and talk to Him about all of the things you are feeling. Let's pray, talk to God, and seek breakthroughs on the challenges that are preventing us from excelling in our connection with the Father during our time of fasting. Everything belongs to the Lord, so always keep that in mind. If you are enjoying all of His blessings and things seem to be going well for you, now is an even better time to seek the Lord. Avoid becoming the enemy's prey because he prowls around like a roaring lion seeking for whom he may devour. Stay in connection with God and those who are loyal to His love.

Closing Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father
Lord, thank You for giving me another day to spend in your presence and seek You. Lord, I ask that you have control over any worries I have. With all my heart, I ask that You take care of it quickly. Take any anxious thoughts or emotions that are preventing me from seeking You or hindering me from believing that You are my provider and that You are the source of my help. Right now, I pray to give You my complete undivided attention and to surrender all that keeps me from growing closer to You. I ask that you guide my heart each day as I talk to you in silence during the course of my day. Father, I love You and long for More of You. I pray for your unwavering assistance. In Jesus' name, Amen
Love this! Very possible to continue to talk to God throughout the day.
